The PM KISAN eKYC deadline has been extended to July 31.

There is good news for thousands of eligible farmers as they can now do their mandatory eKYC till July 31. The government has decided to extend the deadline from May 31 to July 31. So, currently, qualified farmers have more than one month to fulfill this mandatory requirement. 

It may be recalled that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, released the 11th installment of financial benefits under this scheme on May 31. According to reports, the Prime Minister also transferred 21,000 crore to beneficiary farming families. The families that benefited from such transfers were about 10 crore.

This scheme was launched in 2019 to provide income support to all farming families who own land with arable land.

  • Go to 'Farmers' Corner' on the home page.
  • Click on "New Farmer Registration."
  • You will be redirected to the registration form. 
  • Mention your Aadhaar number, fill in the captcha code, and select the state you live in. Then click 'Search'.
  • On the next page, you must provide all the information related to your land, such as survey number, account number, and land size. 
  • To finish the process, click on the "Save" option.

  • You can also register yourself by sending an SMS. Open the Message application on your phone. Kisan GOV REG NAME>, STATE>, DISTRICT>, BLOCK>. Send it to 51969 or 7738299899.
  • Call PM Kisan's call center at their toll-free number 1800-180-1551. After the call, the agent will come to you and help you through the process.
  • Registration can also be done through the mobile phone app. The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi App is available on the Play Store.

The Benefits of PM Kisan:

Under this scheme, farmers get income support. Each farmer is given up to Rs 6000 in installments every year. The installment pattern is given below in tabular format:

To be eligible, farmers must own their own land and actively participate in farming every year. The farm must be in your own name. The farmer's family, consisting of husband, wife, and minor children, is eligible for this scheme. The land should be up to 2 hectares. The money will be transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account.

PM Kisan's KYC Update

In talking about the 11th installment of PM Kisan Nidhi in his recent speech in Himachal Pradesh, the PM asked all the beneficiaries to update their KYC accounts and link them with Aadhaar before July 31. Earlier KYC update date till May 31st 2022. It has now been extended by two months. Before March 31, 2022, farmers can authenticate and update their eKYC online using their Aadhar card and OTP of their registered number. Now farmers have to visit their nearest CSC center to update their KYC. Their KYC will be updated after biometric authentication.

How to check your name in the beneficiary list of PM Kisan Yojana?

After authentication, eligible farmers will get the benefits if their name is mentioned in the list of beneficiaries. You can check whether your name is on the beneficiary list or not by following these steps:

  • Visit the official website of PM Kisan Yojana at pmkisan.gov.in. 
  • On the home page, look for "Farmers' Corner." 
  • In that section, you will find "Beneficiary Status." Click on it.
  • You will be redirected to the next page, 'List of Beneficiaries under PM Kisan'.
  • That page provides all the necessary information like state, district, sub-district, block, and village. You must select the appropriate information from the drop-down menu.
  • Verify all the information you have provided before clicking "Get Report".
  • A new page will load with the list of beneficiaries.

How to check the beneficiary status of the PM Kisan Yojana?

If you get your beneficiary confirmation by referring to the beneficiary list, you will have to wait until the benefits are credited to your bank account. In the meantime, you can check the status of your benefits online.

  • pmkisan.gov.in is the website you must visit. 
  • There is a separate section dedicated to farmer's issues, 'Farmers Corner'. Click on it. 
  • Under the drop-down menu, you will find another tab, 'Beneficiary Status'. Click on it.
